Core Dermatology

I had a great experience with Dr. Contreras at Core Dermatology. He performed a skin exam and explained everything clearly. He also gave me some great options for skin rejuvenation such as laser treatments and fillers. He answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable. I recommend Dr. Contreras to anyone looking for a dermatologist who cares about their patients and their skin.

I have been seeing Dr. Frankel for about 8 years. When she left her prior dermatology employer to open Core Dermatology, it was a very easy choice to follow her. Dr. Frankel's expertise, personality, and demeanor are second to none. The office is also calm, modern, and aesthetically pleasing. Every visit has been an excellent experience. I highly recommend Core Dermatology!

I'm giving this two stars because I do appreciate the care I have received from Dr. Frankel and Ann, but I am no longer going to be going to this dermatologist office after my last and final experience today. The administrative front desk staff is SO rude and pretentious here and this is NOT the first time. Today Francesca accidentally ran my card twice for an expensive treatment, because the first zip code was incorrect (I provided them with a new address at the time I checked in, which should have been updated in my profile by the time I checked out 30 minutes later, but wasn't- causing this error). Instead of telling me on the spot that the card had been run twice, I was home and checked my account and saw that the almost $400 charge was there two times. I called to figure it out and was quickly scoffed at by the lady with short hair and glasses (probably the rudest one of them all to be honest, and I knew it was her because she has been rude to me in past interactions- I'm sure most patients would know of her) and when I asked if she could please "check again" she literally laughed like I had offended her- oh I'm sorry?! When I talked to Francesca she just said the charge will "fall off" as it is pending but it still deducted the money from my account and the most important part was that I absolutely did not feel heard or sympathized with, only felt like I was an inconvenience to them. I don't normally leave bad reviews as I want to give people the benefit of the doubt and understand everyone has rough days, but after going to this office for 3 years now I am done. The unfriendliness, unapproachability, rude attitude at the front desk is intolerable to receive from a doctor's office- and a place I spend ALOT of money at and expect to receive care from. This has been consistent with the front desk staff since 2020- it makes walking in here a challenge. Whoever manages this office needs to take a strong look at the initial impressions their patients are getting when they walk through the door and reassess who the face of their office is and who interacts with their patients at times, more often than they do- it can really make or break the entire experience.
